@Thetwoacrehomestead we strive to eat what we grow. Sometimes it's hard to know how to cook what you have harvested throughout the year. Since its December 2022 it's time to start cooking from the Winter larder. Soup is the easiest of meals to make. They are almost fool proof. Let me show you how we make soup from the things we have grown on our homestead.

Canning and preserving your harvest from the garden is one of the most satisfying things you can do for you and your family. It took me a few years to feel comfortable pressure canning. Now as the years have gone by (since 2013) I don't can as much as I used to, but it is still one of the most satisfying things I do on my homestead. The canners you see me using in this video are presto canners that I have had for many years. The shorter one, was my first canner. What I did not film was the canning of the salsa.
