Oven baked salmon is one my favorite recipes. It's quick, easy, and requires very little clean up. In a hot Summer kitchen quick and easy recipes are must in my opinion.
I highly recommend that you source your salmon from a sustainable source. Going down to your local big box grocery store is not going to cut it here. INGREDIENTS:
2 tsp of olive oil
12 oz salmon filet cut in 4 pieces
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp dill
the zest of one lemon or the juice of one lemon to serve on top
DIRECTIONS:
Pre-heat your oven to 450 degrees
Pour the olive oil on the salmon, be sure to really rub it in the meat
Combine salt, pepper, paprika, chilli powder, and dill into dish
Sprinkle the seasonings on to the fish
Place fish into the oven for 12 minutes
Once cooked pour lemon juice and zest over the fish and serve
You could pair this salmon with a caprese salad, as pictured above
